Unique Marque Engines

Deltair are to team up with a major ‘Superior Aircraft Spares Supplier’ to build a ‘Unique Marque Engine’. This engine will be built with Superior parts to enable us to compete against the ‘Millenium Superior’ engine built by one of our competitors.

The engine will be overhauled utilising new Superior cylinder assemblies, new Slick magnetos and ignition harnesses, and all Superior components in accordance with service bulletin 240 (mandatory replacements).

The engine will be painted with a two part polyurethane mix in British Racing Green or Black colour. No other engine shop at present use these colours.

Our engine will have a three year warranty period, subject to conditions, which should allow us to compete very well against all other engine shops. The price will reflect this new warranty period.

Test Beds

Our current procedures for testing engines is with our purpose built engine test trailer used at Lee-on-the Solent (Daedalus Airfield). Our intentions are to build a purpose built test house at the rear of the Waterlooville facility.

The test house will be built by Deltair personnel to minimise labour cost levels. The test house will take six months to build and should be finished before the end of 2005.

The test house when finished will be sited and positioned so as to take into account the proposed extension of the existing building.
